The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by the Government of India in the year of 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the industry to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic training.
Presently, training courses under the Craftsmen Training Scheme are being offered at NSTI(W), Allahabad are as below:

Minimum 14 years, No upper age limit
Attendance :
Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Trade Test i.e All India Trade Tests (AITT) conducted by the DGT under the aegis of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) at the end of the course.
DST :
Dual System of Training (DST) provides hands on experience to trainees on industry's latest/ updated technologies. Our institute has MoUs with prominent industries for all CTS courses to impart quality training under DST mode.

Government of India initiated Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) in for imparting skills in various vocational trades to meet the skilled manpower requirements for technology and industrial growth of the country. About 70% of the training period is allotted to practical training and the rest to theoretical training relating to Trade theory.
